The powerful SZ is a relatively recent offshoot of the Ibanez S family. Like the S, the SZ is mahogany and sized perfectly for performance. But the SZ is thicker for even more screaming, fat mahogany tone and its 25.1 inch neck has a different feel than the 25.5 inch scale of the S. And if the SZ is ever so slightly heavier in weight, its shaped contours make up for any difference with a physical comfort that_s almost obscene.

This guitar sustained shipping damage which broke the bridge and caused some minor cracks in the lacquer around the both bridge posts. Pictures of this guitar on this site are of the actual instrument so that you may get a good look of the area in question. There are close up photos of the bridge area which are located in the "View Larger Image Slideshow" link on this page in photos 2 and 3. We have replaced the bridge and reset the intonation and have not seen any other problems with this guitar, but it is being sold AS IS but it still may be covered under the Ibanez warranty.
