The built in off position on the volume control knob allows the player to completely mute their system at the instrument. They can then unplug and change instruments “pop”-free. The 250K Ohm configuration can be used on virtually any electric instrument. The 500K Ohm version is designed to be compatible with electric bass and humbucker pickups.
